Healthy Avocado Toast 4 Ways

Whether you're making a snack for yourself, or your making a fun mini appetizer for guest, you can NEVER go wrong with avocado toast! It is the trend that will never go out of style simply because....it's that good! To make our avocado toast healthy, we skip on the traditional white bread because this type of bread is high on the glycemic index scale and spikes insulin; a hormone that causes you to store body-fat! Instead, we opt for either a sprouted bread like Ezekiel Bread. Or, we'll go for Keto Bread - usually found in the refrigerator section ;) These kinds of breads don't spike insulin, are higher in fiber & protein, & are easier on the digestion.

Mediterranean Avocado Toast



First toast, your bread in the toaster oven to your liking! In the meantime, chop red onion, cherry tomatoes, and kalamata olives. Next, mash the avocado. Once the bread is toasted, top with the mashed avocado & top with vegetable toppings. Lastly, sprinkle with feta cheese, salt/pepper, oregano, and drizzle a tablespoon of good olive oil!




Ingredients:

  • 1 Slice of Bread, toasted

  • 1/2 Avocado, mashed

  • Red Onion, Cherry Tomato, Kalamata Olives, chopped

  • Feta Cheese, crumbled

  • 1/2 tbsp - 1 tbsp of Olive Oil

  • Salt/Pepper/Oregano


Over Easy Egg Avocado Toast


First toast, your bread in the toaster oven to your liking! In the meantime, chop a few cherry tomatoes & mash the avocado. Next, preheat a skillet to medium heat. Once preheated, spray with cooking spray & cook your egg for a few minutes until cooked to your liking. Once the bread is toasted, top with the mashed avocado & top with over easy egg & cherry tomatoes. Lastly, sprinkle with salt/pepper!




Ingredients:

  • 1 Slice of Bread, toasted

  • 1/2 Avocado, mashed

  • 1 Egg, cooked overeasy

  • 3 Cherry Tomatoes, halved

  • Salt/Pepper


Veggie Avocado Toast


First toast, your bread in the toaster oven to your liking! In the meantime, chop heirloom cherry tomatoes, red onions, basil, and cucumbers, and set aside a small handful of alfalfa sprouts. Next, mash the avocado. Once the bread is toasted, top with the mashed avocado & top with vegetable toppings. Lastly, sprinkle with salt/pepper, oregano, and drizzle a tablespoon of good olive oil!




Ingredients:

  • 1 Slice of Bread, toasted

  • 4 Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes, halved

  • Red Onion, Cucumber, and Basil, chopped

  • Small handful of Alfalfa Sprouts

  • Salt/Pepper/Oregano

  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil


Lemony Arugula Avocado Toast



First toast, your bread in the toaster oven to your liking! In the meantime, set aside a handful of arugula & half of a lemon. Next, mash the avocado. Once the bread is toasted, top with the mashed avocado & top with vegetable toppings. Lastly, sprinkle with salt/pepper, lemon juice, and drizzle a tablespoon of good olive oil!

  • 1 Slice of Bread, toasted

  • 1/2 Avocado, mashed

  • Handful of Arugula

  • 1/2 Lemon

  • Salt/Pepper

  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
